Project Background:
Mallows Beverages have developed a range of their own brands and products for customers, and their VWD alcoholic drink is now available in Morrisons and Coop stores across Wales. The product is aimed at people in their 20s as a party starter drink being consumed at home before heading out.
Project Insight:
To help launch the product into the market, Mallows required a story-driven promotional video that engaged with people in their 20s and connected with their lives. The pre-drinks events of guys and girls were developed with Mallows to connect with that audience and show the product being used in a situation that would feel familiar to them.
Creative Approach:
Story-driven content:
– Developing a story that reflects the experiences of the audience and to showcase the product being used in scenarios they would connect with.
Multi-use content:
– Delivering a longer 2 min+ version of the video, as well as multiple short form versions in both 16:9 and 9:16 to work across multiple platforms and give the product maximum visibility.
– Delivering BTS (behind the scenes) content, screen grabs and other images to ensure that Mallows have a suite of content to promote the product across various platforms and mediums.
Self-shot content style:
– Including social media graphics to reflect the platforms that the audience use and the icons they recognise like hearts, thumbs up and comments.
– Integrating a self shot social media element to reflect content that people in their 20s consume from their peers, media personalities and influencers. Self shot content is amongst the most watched content for the target audience.
Outcome:
The suite of content provided has helped Mallows to launch their VWD product and create visibility for the brand. Over the long term this will help to increase visibility and revenues.
