It’s been a busy few weeks here at Focus Shift Films as we’ve been working on post production for Dying Light – which looks amazing! – plus shooting in Ibiza, Greece, Manchester and across South Wales. Enquiries have also been coming in from across the UK and further afield! We pitched, proposed and quoted for a variety of jobs that we hope to be moving forward with very soon. Our 360˚ camera has been in action on a few top secret jobs and our 360˚ time lapse video at Tintern Abbey for Cadw has been made live and viewed over 35,000 times on Wales Online. Dying Light VFX

Our short film collaboration with Vale Productions and Digital Production Pro ‘Dying Light’ is coming together nicely. Our VFX genius Tony Rowlands has been slaving away over a hot computer to create the amazing VFX elements to add to the amazing real action footage captured by Keefa Chan on his Red Epic Dragon.   The above screen grabs show how the shot looked when captured in the camera, and then how Tony has added his magic touch to make the sky moody and filled with the glow of bombs exploding over a nearby city. This will help us bring home the horrors of World War Two and the Luftwaffe bombing campaigns over British cities. The above images are taken from our green screen shoot with the boys looking out of a window. Tony has taken the green screen footage and added in the windows, reflections and a little touch of magic to make it feel real. Tony is currently working on the aeroplane chase sequence and we hope to have more to show you...

Stereophonics ‘C’est La Vie’

We’ve gone through some of the footage we captured in the early days of us using the Samsung Gear 360˚ camera and found this amazing 360˚ video of Stereophonics performing ‘C’est La Vie’ to open their Keep The Summer Alive Tour in Cardiff.
